In Memory

When Jessica Salazar was just fourteen, she was brutally gunned down in gang violence. At age elevenshe wrote the following poem: “Most of us don’t want to die, but anyway, in our coffin there we lie. You could have been stabbed, or shot, or took an overdose of pot. . .I don’t know about you, but I have had enough.” We too have had enough! Her death was a major wake-up call, and it is in her memorythat Operation Jessica was founded.

Sixteen-year-old Chad Miller was murdered in 2007 as he was in the process of transforming the worldof drugs, violence, and hatred in which his father lived. His death rocked the space of his friends andfamily. Chad’s legacy is a call to love and to forgive. Operation Chad was created in Chad’s memory.
